Wayne, you and your father have been involved with the golf industry for many years. Can you tell us a little about your background?

The Bosley family has been involved in the golf industry for over 50 years in Australia / New Zealand and Asia. In the early years with PGF-Australia and then as the National distributors for the Acushnet Co. (Brands include Titleist / Footjoy and Pinnacle) for over 20 years plus a 4 year Leadership consultancy in the early 2000’s.

Our responsibility was for the establishment and distribution of those brands plus the key leadership development work with Australia’s and New Zealand’s touring professionals and elite amateur female and male players of all ages. Many of those players are currently playing internationally today.

Can you tell us about your Vision concept?

The first project was originally based on developing a true game improvement ball for social and club players. We definitely believe the ball you play has an enormous effect on the way you play, your enjoyment of the game and your overall development as a player and as a person. Play better golf and you will be a happier person. The Vision UV Yellow ball is continuing to surprise golfers all over the world with its unique real game improvement features. Players are so enthusiastic about the way this ball has improved both their scores and enjoyment of the game.

The latest product to be released as a result of our R&D Test Pilot program is what we believe will be the structure used in the next generation of professional tour products.

That must be the Vision - X-pert ball, which has proved very popular with senior amateur players in Australia during trials.

We quietly seeded the X² ball with a group of leading Senior Australian amateur representative players to gauge their reaction to the ball in competition. The Elite Senior amateurs are a great resource for us as their games are highly developed and they have played through the many advancement in ball design, with everything from wound balata balls to the latest multilayer hi-tech products used on tour today.

The results have been so overwhelmingly positive with the general comment being how much players loved them and the belief that they are one of the most exciting ball designs they have played in years.

You have set up a Special Test Pilot offer to our AUSOOM website visitors. What is involved and how do you see it helping you?

Understanding that the majority of the players who visit the AUSOOM site are serious about their game, we thought it would be valuable to enlist some of these players as Vision Test Pilots, to help us with our ongoing research and product development.
These players will receive their balls at a special price plus additional bonus products. I understand that there are incentives for players to keep you updated with their Test Pilot information?

Those Test Pilots who make the effort to fully understand what we are about, and give me detailed information be it positive or negative, in their reports, will get the chance to work with our next generation of prototype ball designs before anyone else in the world. This will be exciting stuff and the best part of this process is that it is all happening in Australia and New Zealand.
